Practice Areas: International Trade, Trade Remedies and Non-Tariff Barriers

Mr. Fischer is a Senior Consultant at UNO’s São Paulo office, where he represents the interests of companies and business associations in a variety of economic and legal matters relating to international trade. He is responsible for preparing market and company-specific analysis in order to support trade remedy investigations, internationalization of companies and market access. He has a vast experience in analyzing conformity of questionnaire responses, participating in on-the-spot verifications, and in preparing injury and causality analysis.

He has also led price undertaking negotiations in key cases involving Chinese respondents. Mr. Fischer has worked with the steel, paper, glass and chemical industries, among others. He has worked with companies from various countries, such as Brazil, China, Germany, Indonesia, Russia and South Korea.

Prior to joining UNO, Mr. Fischer worked in the equity research department of J.P. Morgan in São Paulo, Brazil and in the arbitration department of White & Case LLP in Frankfurt, Germany. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Faculty of Economics, Administration and Accounting of the University of São Paulo (USP). He also attended a specialization course on Trade Policy Modeling and Negotiation at Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV).
